  Oh my goodness, I don’t know where to start, but Reverend Mike, as he calls himself, was beyond wonderful.

  Reverend Mike made our special day, oh so very special. Could seriously not ask for a better person to marry us. He was personable, weaved in the Aloha spirit as well as the Hawaiian ways. Saying we would recommend him is an understatement. We were crying from the first song in our wedding (Henry Manua was our singer who was super great too) and I swear I saw tears in his eyes too!

  Reverend Mike made our special day, oh so very special. Could seriously not ask for a better person to marry us. He was personable, weaved in the Aloha spirit as well as the Hawaiian ways.   A passionate officiant with a beautiful message

  Reverend Michael Nelson officiated our wedding and his message to us was so beautiful- his words will stay with me forever. We planned our wedding from afar, but the day of our wedding it felt like we had known him for years!
  
  When we first called Rev. Nelson and explained what we were looking for, he told us he could provide a Hawaiian accented non-denominational Christian ceremony. I loved the sound of this, and on the day of our wedding it was just incredible. Our parents also loved him. He was easy to work with and very punctual the day of our wedding. So happy we had Rev. Nelson & we HIGHLY recommend him!!

  We work with Rev. Michael Nelson and he is definitely one of our favs. BUT I’m writing this review because the heart he has for every couple. We were at a ceremony together and the house sound system was intermittently cutting out the mic. It was a mic/cable problem. We chatted and he totally went above and beyond to keep the mic working. He held the cable in the mic the whole ceremony. He is an ALLSTAR in my eyes. He didn’t complain and no guest knew we were having tech problems.

  Reverend Michael Nelson was an absolute pleasure to work with and have as our officiant. He was a referral from both our photographer and florist and we are so glad we chose him for our wedding. We were able to meet with Michael a few days before the wedding to run through everything and discuss the ceremony, which was a big help in making us feel comfortable and less nervous for the wedding day.

During the ceremony he spoke in such a personal and heartfelt manner, you would've thought he had known us our entire lives! We also felt that he created a relaxed atmosphere for the ceremony, which is exactly what we wanted. He's extremely pleasant and professional and we received so many compliments from our wedding guests about what a great officiant he was. If you need an officiant look no further -- he's fantastic!

  We did a destination wedding for our daughter in June 2023 at the HHV in Honolulu. I found Rev. Nelson on WeddingWire and reached out and we had a discussion. I liked him immediately. He met with my daughter and her fiance, got a sense of what they wanted and he made some great suggestions for the ceremony. He further got to know them after we booked with him and then met him for the rehearsal. He was wonderful and he crafted a meaningful sermon for their wedding that reflected their style and beliefs. He was obviously very skilled and used to doing this but was also very engaged and made my daughter feel special and when we met him it's like he wasn't a stranger. If you can book him!!!   Michael Nelson was so wonderful! Before the ceremony I had everything that could go wrong, go wrong. By the time I finally got to the beach where the ceremony was being held I was a wreck! Until Michael came to the rescue. I don't even think he knew he did. You can tell he had a lot of experience because he had everything planned out to ease the stress. Nelson helped run our wedding rehearsal the day prior to the wedding. And on the day of the wedding helped to create the perfect ceremony. His words were genuine and he was also very efficient.

  Reverend Nelson was our marriage officiant at a very small ceremony at the royal hawaiian. I could not imagine a better person to marry us! I first met him a few moments before walking down the aisle, and he immediately put me at ease. He was relaxed, friendly, witty, with a great sense of humour. He was also very professional, carefully positioning us for the photographer during the ceremony. He gave a beautiful speech about marriage prior to our vows which was flawless and natural. The vows were simple and traditional, but not too religious. Exactly what we had hoped for! I would highly recommend reverend Nelson to anyone getting married in honolulu. He was wonderful. We could not have asked for more.

  Reverend Nelson was wonderful. I could not have asked for a better officiant. He is extremely organized, he preps you through everything and I was so happy with the rehearsal and ceremony itself. I wholeheartedly recommend him.

  Thank you Rev Nelson! Very professional, great voice, speech, dress, and everything. Just a professional. I would suggest contacting him via text rather than email for fast responses but he will get back to you. Very quick to input into the State of Hawaii marriage system also.

Ummm tomorrow..... He had no record of our wedding in his planner nor the deposit check. Our wedding was at 5:00 - 5:15 and he already had another wedding booked at 5:30. Even knowing that, he continued with the consultation and said he would make still perform a ceremony and find a way.
  
  We parted ways. My fiance and I were in shock and worried. Nothing had gone right in our wedding planning and this was another thing gone wrong. An hour or two later, Rev Nelson called us and said he found our deposit check but since my mom did not write anything wedding related on the memo portion of the check, he did not know what the check was for. He also arranged for the other wedding party to have their ceremony start at 5:45 instead to give him more time to travel between locations. Luckily both were in Waikiki so his wife was able to drive him.
  
  Day of the wedding, Rev Nelson showed up early and put my fiance and I at ease. He explained everything to us beforehand, during, and afterward. We had requested no mention of "god" nor "death" in the ceremony and he complied with our requests. His words were so touching. Everyone loved the ceremony; even my fiance's family, which is very religious and Catholic, praised Rev Nelson.
  
  Even with some bumps along the way, I highly recommend Rev Nelson.

  Wedding Ceremony February 16, 2019

  I am Mother of the Groom who made the initial contact with Reverend Micheal. I was referred to Reverend Micheal by our wedding photographer.
  
  Upon meeting Reverend Micheal day of the wedding, I felt an instant connection of comfort.
  
  He officiated my son Dominick & Miarose's wedding on February 16, 2019 for an outdoor ceremony at the beautiful Waikele Country Club in Waipahu.
  
  Reverend Michael was absolutely wonderful! He truly captured all the emotions and feelings they want to convey.
  
  The wedding ceremony was beautiful and we are truly blessed to have met Reverend Micheal.
